Mashed bananas

Mashed bananas can be a perfect alternative to vegetarians and those who like food items without eggs. But only the negative aspect of baking with bananas is that your final dish may have a temperate flavor of banana. Replacing eggs with bananas work great in cakes, brownies and other bakery items.

Tofu

Tofu is a concentrated soy milk that has been condensed and processed into solid squares. Its texture depends upon its water content it gets firmer the more water is pressured out. For a healthy diet, one can simply replace paneer with this condensed milk block i.e. tofu. It is relatively colorless and flavor less but is a good constituent of brownies, cookies, heavy bakery items. Vinegar and baking soda

Adding 1 teaspoon (7 grams) of baking soda and mixing it with 1 tablespoon (15 grams) of vinegar can substitute one egg in many recipes. Also apple cider vinegar is other famous choice. Amazing combination of both works for light weighted baked foods.

Yoghurt or buttermilk

Yogurt and buttermilk both are good replacement to eggs. Plain yoghurt or simply flavored yoghurt can also be used it adds more flavor to the food. You can use one-fourth cup (60 grams) of yogurt or buttermilk for a single egg that needs to be changed. This replacement works awesome for muffins, cakes and cupcakes.

Peanut/cashew/almond butter

Many dishes can be cooked with cashew, almond and peanut butter in place of eggs. Creamy butters should be used instead of crunchy butter. For replacing 1 egg use 3 tablespoons (60 grams) of peanut butter and so if you want to replace 2 eggs you can simply twice the butter and so on. This may result in delicious final product, and it’s best used in brownies, pancakes and cookies.

Gelatin

Gelatin is used as a materializing broker that makes a great alternative for eggs. It’s basically an animal protein that is obtained from collagen of cows and pigs. Adding 1 tablespoon (9 grams) of gelatin with 3 tablespoons (45 grams) of water can replace one egg.

Carbonated water

It can be used to add moisture to a recipe and it also acts as a great ferment agent. It  helps in making the final product light and fluffy. You can alternate each egg with one-fourth cup (60 grams) of carbonated water. This substitution works great for cakes, cupcakes and quick breads.

And, for those who rely on eggs for breakfast , they can replace eggs with food like banana toast, avocado toast and quinoa oatmeal.
