President of France said no problem in revealing details of rafale deal
French president Emmanuel Macron said that France does not have any objection to New Delhi disclosing the pricing details of the Rafale deal. French President is said to have said this in a meeting with Congress president Rahul Gandhi and former prime minister Manmohan Singh.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi has called this deal a scam and asked the NDA government to come clean on the pricing details of the Rafale deal. According to Congress the price paid for the Rafale deal was much higher than what it was finalized by the United Progressive Alliance government which had negotiated a deal for 126 aircraft.
Mr. Gandhi said that Congress was supportive of deepening the relationship between two countries but the price paid for individual fighter plane should be placed in public domain for the sake of transparency.
Defense minister Nirmala Sitharam who has initially agreed on disclosing the pricing details of the Rafale deal, later on, she told parliament that information about the deal was “classified information” and protected from disclosure under a 2008 pact signed between the two countries.
According to Congress sources in a meeting on Sunday French president said that his government did not have any objection to revealing the pricing details of the deal which implied that government was using 2008 pact as a cover-up.
